William Babell – Violin/Oboe/Recorder Sonata no. 11 in G minor
Babell was Handel’s harpsichordist and was famed for his virtuoso playing. His XII Solos, For a Violin or Hautboy (suitable for the recorder), and include elaborate embellishments: ‘With proper Graces adapted to each Adagio, by the Author’.
